MARK LESSON AS COMPLETE

Together with FTP, code editing software is another tool I recommend. NotePad++ and other text editors are vital when doing complex and long customization – plus they have lots of benefits.

  1. Great stuff! I almost skipped this one because I use Visual Studio but glad I watched it. That comparing file is solid gold. If I can’t figure out how to do it with VS I know exactly how to find it!

    1. Awesome!

  2. Wow… using Find In Files (or Find In Project in Atom) is a GREAT tip. I can see how this will be most helpful when making customisations. How did I not know this?! Thank you! 🙂

    1. Excellent, glad you learned something helpful 🙂

    2. I use notepad++ every day, usually for xml file manipulations.
I did not think to use the find in files feature before now!
      Thanks so much Rodolfo!

      1. Excellent. File search is slow at first, then it gets faster after the first search. But either way, it’s a lifesaver!
