  1. How do you deal with things like automatic emails that go out to customers and other “processes” that happen on the staging site? I have an issue where I’m having to disable all the emails from all the plugins one-by-one and any other connections (like API connections to outside services). This adds considerable time to set up a staging site and a lot of room for error.
The reason we are doing this is because we’ve had issues in the past with customers receiving notifications from our staging site and being totally confused – thinking their subscription order processed twice – or going to the website that’s listed (staging) and it’s showing a maintenance page – which can be very concerning to a customer.

Is there a way to bulk disable notifications going out to the customer without having to manually disable everything?

    1. Great question Liz!

Subscription plugins should have a “staging” mode where payments and emails are not processed if you’re on staging. Which plugin do you use?

Otherwise, it’s possible to disable all emails with https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-emails/ as long as you don’t use external mail servers.

      Hope this helps!
