WooCommerce: How to Remove Related Products

Some store owners like to keep their product pages as clutter-free as possible. They want to remove all the unnecessary stuff and keep the focus of the page about the particular product.

On the WooCommerce single product page, you will find 3 (or more) related products. In this tutorial, we will show you how to remove these related products using a simple code.

PHP Snippet: Hide Related Products @ WooCommerce Single Product Page

remove_action( 'woocommerce_after_single_product_summary', 'woocommerce_output_related_products', 20 );

Where to add custom code?

You should place custom PHP in functions.php and custom CSS in style.css of your child theme: where to place WooCommerce customization?

This code still works, unless you report otherwise. To exclude conflicts, temporarily switch to the Storefront theme, disable all plugins except WooCommerce, and test the snippet again: WooCommerce troubleshooting 101

  1. Thank you for the great article!

    I found a way to remove the related products when using the Avada Theme:
    Add this code snippet here to your functions.php
    https://gist.github.com/tripflex/c6518efc1753cf2392559866b4bd1a53

    And then add this also to your functions.php:

    function avada_lang_setup() {
        remove_class_action('woocommerce_after_single_product_summary', 'Avada_Woocommerce', 'output_related_products', 15);
    }
    add_action( 'after_setup_theme', 'avada_lang_setup' );
  2. Hi, PHP Snippet: Hide Related Products @ WooCommerce Single Product Page doesn’t work anymore, I don’t understand why. May be because of the theme (I use a child theme, child of AVADA).

    1. Yes, it could be because of your custom theme. It would need to be edited to make it work

If you are writing code, please wrap it like so:
code_here
. Failure to complying with this, as well as going off topic or not using the English language will result in comment disapproval.
