Cohort overview
This 4-week cohort is designed for plugin developers who want to take action, not just watch tutorials. Together, we’ll move your plugin forward every week, working on real tasks, giving feedback, and making measurable progress.
Over the course of four weeks, we’ll cover everything that actually drives plugin adoption. You’ll learn to define your plugin’s unique selling proposition, understand your target audience and their pain points, and map out the competitive landscape. From there, we’ll optimize your landing page or WordPress.org repository page, conduct keyword research, and make sure your plugin is discoverable by the people who matter.
Next, we’ll focus on outreach and early adoption. You’ll put your strategy into action using your own channels, reaching out to communities, integrating with complementary services, and actively showing up where your users are. The goal is to gain traction with real users who will engage with and benefit from your plugin.
Finally, we’ll double down on what’s working, turn early users into promoters, and plan content marketing strategies that sustain growth beyond the cohort.
Week 1 — Product Foundations
Define USP, mission, avatar, pain points, and competitor analysis.
Week 2 — Visibility & Pages
Landing page and WordPress.org repo optimization, keyword research.
Week 3 — Outreach & Early Adoption
Use your own channels, perform outreach, integrate, and actively show up.
Week 4 — Growth & Advocacy
Double down, turn users into promoters, and plan content marketing.
By the end, you’ll have not just learned the principles of plugin marketing—you’ll have executed them.
