Hi Rodolfo, this lesson has definitely been the most valuable to me thus far. 😀 My understanding is that it’s not ideal to copy template files to /woocommerce in child themes because these templates will be outdated as soon as WooCommerce updates. But I’m curious – why would WooCommerce themselves recommend this method? Is it because it requires less coding knowledge and thus is accessible to more people?
Hey Noelle 🙂 Good question – I still have no idea why WooCommerce keeps recommending this strategy, but for sure it’s easier to copy a whole template and “remove” bits of PHP from there than learning how to code properly (module 4 and 5 of this course). So, you’re probably right
Makes sense. Thanks, Rodolfo!
